Action Craft 1820
Tournament Edition Flatsmaster

Saltwater Inshore Machine for Shallow Water and Bay Fishing

Monday March 27, 2017

With all the qualities Action Craft is famous for, like a high performance modified deep "V" hull design that eats up rough, choppy bay waters, the mid size 1820 is amazingly dry riding. Built with state-of-the-art construction techniques and Action Craft™'s Pocket Drive®, the 1820 can easily pole or run in shallow water.

The 1820 appeals to anglers who are looking for a full-featured, high quality, shallow draft coastal fishing boat with all the latest innovations and styling. Action Craft designs boats with the whole family in mind, making sure that there is room for the family and everything needed for a fun day on the water. Action Craft's improved self-draining cockpit, wider gunwales, and modified diamond nonslip finish are just a few of the features you will enjoy on your new FlatsMaster.

Evinrude Evinrude 115 HO

THE H.O. SERIES. BLURRING THE LINE BETWEEN BOATING AND AVIATION. Like pushing limits? Then take a closer look at our High Output Series. Because they push limits about as far as they can go - and come with everything it takes to handle it.

Like a high-performing SLE (Straight Leading Edge) gear case with nose-cone pick-ups that significantly increases water flow to the engine and provides increased cooling ability and capacity. High-quality gears with super pure, extra-tough metallurgy. And stiffer engine mounts for superior handling and control at high speeds. If youre looking for that extra bit of oomph, this is it. No matter the application, the H.O. series gives you the maximum performance you're looking for.

Whether I'm racing across the Indian River Lagoon or running the beaches along Florida's Space Coast, I know that I'm getting there safe and dry with my Flatsmaster 1820. One of Action Craft's most proven hulls and deck layouts, the 1820 has plenty of live well and bait well storage for the inshore angler. Although the boat is rated for a 150 hp, I opted for Evinrude's 115 High Output that's closer to a 130 hp output and I'm totally satisfied with it's performance. Wanting a lighter engine with plenty of get-up-and-go was my goal and Evinrude provided the equipment to do the job.

Captain Gina loves to fish with her 1820, but she's just as content to lay out on the deck and enjoy the Florida sunshine. The Action Craft is a good all-around pleasure boat as well as a high performance fishing vessel.

March - 2017 Fishing Report

Fishing Forecast

March - 2017 Fishing Forecast

The windy month of March on the Banana River can still produce alot of large spotted sea trout and some nicer sized reds than the previous two months. Redfish will start moving around in march in preparation for the upcoming spring months and larger seatrout will be thinking about the spawn as the water temperature rise. Look for a showing of snook to possibly show up in late March and tarpon to start moving into the backwaters on some days. Tarpon will more than likely be present, but will be fickle to eat unless the temperatures are consistant in March.

NOTE: During the month of March you'll want to ask your Captain about cobia fishing as the migration of cobia usually start in March depending on the water temperatures in the ocean. March is a very productive month for almost all fishing.

Gave a fishing trip to my husband for his birthday after recommendation from my cousin Kristin Kessel Asinger. He is still talking about it as the best fishing trip ever! Don't hesitate to book a fishing trip with Captain Richard!
