Florida has many fishing guides to offer but we've learned over the years what makes a successful fishing trip when you get on board a charter boat with a knowledgeable fishing captain for a day of inshore or offshore fishing off Florida's east coast and Atlantic Ocean. Guides should be MORE than just presence on the boat, they should help each angler expand their fishing abilities and knowledge to take abroad whether they return for another saltwater inshore fishing trip in Florida's lagoons or back home to their favorite fishing spots.

"We learned how to gather bait with a cast net, although I don't think I could cast one as large as our guide's net, then we gathered and kept our bait in large livewells for later use. Captain Richard used the pilchards we caught to chum the fish close enough to make cast and hook up. After a day of fishing and catching several snook, redfish and seatrout we took some of our catch back to the dock where our guide cleaned and fillet them in preparation for dinner that evening.
