Florida Fishing Guides and Mosquito Lagoon redfish
Sat Jul 05, 2008

Howard Crisler lands a nice backwater snook for release into the tanic water of the Banana River Lagoon. Anglers can enjoy catchng snook like this one on almost any warm time of the year in the earliest morning hours.

Howard observes the manatees that follow our flats boat. I'm not sure who's harassing whom in this picture, it's against the law to touch a manatee, Howard enjoyed watching these gentle marine mammals closeup and resisted the tempation to scratch their backs.

One more for a Flat's Slam!

Father & Son fishing team Howard and Kevin went for a half day on the Banana River lagoon catching two of the lagoon's gamefish species, they went away without a redfish. Captain Richard's Redfish broke off and that would have given the boat a "Flat's Slam".

Both promised to return and avenge themselves with a nice redfish for the table or a large redfish for release.
