This brother & sister teamed up to produce a 30 plus
pound redfish on the Indian River Lagoon
this summer.
"On this day... I put my anglers in the water let
them slip up on the fish to present their baits to actively
feeding redfish. They caught several big redfish and managed
to cool off in the Lagoon during the mid-summer heat."
Explained Captain Richard Bradley of Lagooner Fishing Guides.
Captain Gina Bradley says she books more summer
fishing vacations for families than any other time
of the year. "Kids get out of school and summer
recess is in full swing. The girls put on their
bikinis and the guys can't wait to feel a fish on the end
of their rod. It's pure summer pleasure and nobody
goes away without a bit of Florida sunshine on their cheeks."
"Fishing vacation for kids starts
during spring break for the college kids
and continues right thru the end of summer. We generally
get alot of young anglers during the holidays when dad's
get the itch to head south for the winter, but summer's
diffinatley the kid's time to relax", Explains Captain
Gina. "We book more than 400 trips a year and most
of our double trips are in the summer months when people
go on a cruise vacation or visit the Orlando
theme parks.
