Redfish in the Banana River Lagoon

Oh Yes! Another day of fishing in the Banana River Lagoon with friends and fellow guides. Captain Rocky VanHoose and Captain Richard Bradley took a missionary out for a day of fishing giving him a treat and a day in the Florida sunshine too.

"Gilmer couldn't believe we were throwing back a fish because it was too big," explains Captain Richard. "It was a hoot when he is so used to seeing fish like this brought to the dinner table in his home in the Phillipines."

Redfish are one of the primary gamefish sought in the Indian and Banana River Lagoons on the Ease Coast of Florida. It's just minutes away from Orlando and Daytona Beach and can be an affordable trip for just about anyone.

The Ministry of Fishing
On the Banana River Lagoon for Redfish

Gilmer is a missionary with Teen Missions, based on North Merrritt Island. On this fishing trip Gilmer never stopped talking (bragging) about his newly born baby girl and lovely wife.... until he caught his first redfish. After-all, this was his first fishing trip. Gilmer's fish weighed in at just over 10 pounds, his baby girl 7.2 lbs. at birth. Proclaiming, "WOW! My fish weighed more than my daughter!" Gilmer's excitement outweighed all.

His Pastor, Rocky Vanhoose and Captain Richard Bradley helped him find the fish after a long afternoon of catching bait.

When asked if Gilmer would like to go fishing again? He simply said... "Anytime!" and that was that! Schedule your fishing trip with Lagooner.com [click].
